2009 Junior Olympic National Championships

The Rifle Team at the 2009 Junior Olympic National Championships at Camp Perry, Ohio. The course of fire envolved a single day of practice, the 7th, and two days of Competition; the 8th and 9th, during competition, each shooter had to fire 20 record shots in each position, each day for a total of 120 record shots. The range was 100% electronic the competitors  fired into a black piece of paper which was visible through a hole in the lighter colored paper, as the pellet hit the paper a set of microphones determined the location of the round and then showed the hit on the computers infront of the competitors as well as the large TVs hung above every 8 shooters.

Results for the match were: The team (Nyberg, Ortiz, Shock, and Slaughter) placed 9th in the scholastic division  Individual standings were; Nyberg - 23rd, Slaughter - 29th, Ortiz - 65th, Shock - 93rd, LaSharr - 103rd
